Settlers Trading Post is a modern version of an old west trading post that once was a stopping place for Indians, Settlers, and Pioneers back in the 1800's.
The Trading Post is constructed of reclaimed lumber from a century old barn that once stood at the base of Chimney Rock.
Today it serves as a stopping place for locals and travelers from all over the world.
Whether you pull in after a long day driving and need a place to stay or if you have already made reservations online for the campground you will need to check in at Settlers Trading Post. Be sure to let the clerk know if you have already made reservations and we get you all settled in for the night.
Once inside you find the smell of fresh wafflecones irresistable. Try one of Nebraska's famous cones with ice cream flavors including "Muddy Boots", "Chimney Rock Chocolate", "Prairie Cherry" along with many others. While inside, pause to enjoy your cone while viewing the Chimney Rock souvenirs and gifts, or sit outside under the porch and take in the amazing view.
We have over 1000 different souvenirs and gifts to choose from for that special person along with coffee, soda, beer, Chimney Rock Wine, popcorn, snacks and ice.

We have added something new this year at Settlers Trading Post. If you are planning a family reunion, birthday celebration, or anniversary party for that special couple we will cook for your group. If you are in a RV club staying at the campground and would like to have a group cookout, let us know. All you need to do is sit back and relax. We are excited about this addition to our services!
Steaks or burgers will be cooked outside on the open fire along with baked potatoes and pioneer fried bread. Enjoy a cup of Cowboy coffee on the open fire to top it off.
